About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at Binkadi Community Services. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of our clients in a group home setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Support Client Needs

Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' needs and eligibility for specific services, ensuring they receive the support they require to thrive.

Implement Life Skills Workshops

Develop and deliver life skills workshops to help clients acquire essential skills for independent living, such as household management and food preparation.

Provide Crisis Intervention and Support

Offer crisis intervention and support to clients, including suicide prevention and conflict resolution, to ensure their safety and well-being.

Supervise and Support Clients

Supervise and support clients in their daily activities, including household chores and social outings, to promote their independence and self-esteem.

Collaborate with Team Members

Work collaboratively with other team members to develop and implement individualized service plans, ensuring a comprehensive and supportive environment for our clients.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field

Certifications

First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate

Language

English

Work Hours

30 to 40 hours per week
