About the Role

The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Private Banking Associate to join our team. As a Senior Private Banking Associate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our Private Banking clients by assisting them with their transactional banking needs and responding to their queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Respond to incoming client requests to process wires/cables and visa, tax, and bill payments, and ensure requests get completed. Complete complex investigations for clients concerning account activity.
  • Sales Support: Support Private Banking Advisors in the management of their portfolios by reviewing all customer documentation with respect to compliance with regulations and bank policies. Coordinate communication to customers regarding obtaining necessary financial information for completion of credit renewals, reviews, and temporary overdraft protection. Monitor diary for upcoming maturities/renewals/expiries and advise the Private Banking Advisor.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions. Utilize strong communication and business writing skills to respond to client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on CIBC's products and services, including loan, mortgage, and investment products, to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Private Banking Advisors and other teams to achieve business objectives and provide seamless service to clients.

Requirements

  • Language Skills: Fluency in French and English is required to serve our clients in the community.
  • Education and Experience: A degree in a related field and relevant experience in private banking or a related field is required.
  • Skills: Analytical thinking, cash flow analysis, client relationship management, customer experience, investment portfolios, post-sales support, product knowledge, and transaction banking.
