Private Bankers deliver unparalleled service, assisting clients in achieving their financial aspirations.
The Wealth Management Associate Program is a comprehensive 5-month salaried initiative.
The Private Banking Associate position is designed to cultivate sales-oriented and entrepreneurial individuals aspiring to build a career in credit-focused banking.
This program emphasizes the development of essential credit underwriting and relationship management competencies.Candidates should be completing an undergraduate or master's degree or possess relevant experience in client relationship building and financial advisory roles.
A background that enables registration with the appropriate provincial securities commission for mutual fund sales licensing is required (licensing needs will be assessed based on business requirements).
The ideal candidate will exhibit strong influencing and persuasive skills, alongside effective verbal and written communication abilities.
Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced environments are essential.Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary, with a preference for both collaborative and independent work settings.
Participants will undergo a thorough training program designed to provide insights into Scotiabank's Private Banking and Wealth Advisory sectors.
A pathway to achieving the Certified Financial Planning Certification will be available.Participants will be placed in a Scotiabank Wealth Management Private Banking office, gaining relevant and practical experience alongside a Private Banking team.
A structured training curriculum will support preparation for client-facing roles in Private Banking.Continuous support throughout the program will be provided through various interactions with the Program Lead, Wealth leaders, and local management.
