About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to join our team at Ontario Halal Meat Farms Inc. As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational logistics of our organization, ensuring the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and coordinating activities with other work units or departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Develop specific plans to prioritize and organize tasks to accomplish the work, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Operational Logistics: Oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including planning and organizing operational logistics, coordinating activities with other work units or departments, and ensuring smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 people, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
  • Training and Development: Train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, and coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure high-quality results.
  • Materials and Supplies: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, and organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and proactive.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
  • Work Setting: Wholesalers.
