Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Legislative Affairs Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on legislative matters, including tax policy and administrative law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth knowledge and experience with the legislative process, Alberta tax legislation, and the Income Tax Act (Canada).
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including legal advisors, accountants, and senior government officials.
  • Analyze emerging trends and complex business structures, make informed decisions, and translate insights into legislative solutions.
  • Manage complex projects while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.

Requirements

  • University degree in a related field, such as commerce or public administration, plus a professional accounting designation or law degree.
  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
