Are you a seasoned software professional looking for a challenging role in a dynamic team? We are seeking a Development Lead to join our team at the Government of Alberta.

Job Summary:

The Development Lead will provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of system analysts dedicated to supporting applications. This role will involve designing, constructing, testing, and implementing new information systems that support client requirements and departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of system analysts
  • Design, construct, test, and implement new information systems
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to deliver application services
  • Manage multiple priorities and allocate assignments to team members
  • Anticipate, assess, and adapt to changing priorities and work in a changing environment

Requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Related two-year diploma in computer technology or a related discipline from a recognized postsecondary institution and 6 years related experience
  • Experience providing leadership and direction to a team of system analysts
  • Experience with providing guidance in application design, construction, implementation, and change management procedures
  • Expertise in server setup, configuration, and patching of COTS products
