Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students from various backgrounds and experiences.
  • Employ adult education principles to actively engage students in the learning process.
  • Effectively utilize educational technologies to enhance learning and manage student grades.
  • Develop engaging curriculum that incorporates current industry practices and relevant assessment strategies.
  • Collaborate effectively with students, program teams, and stakeholders within the college community.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years of recent experience in the financial industry directly related to the course content.
  • Master's degree (or higher) in Business Administration or a related field. A Bachelor or Master of Education is considered an asset.
  • Professional credentials recognized within the financial industry (CSC, CFP, etc.) are highly desirable.
  • Proven teaching experience at the post-secondary level or within a business environment, demonstrating expertise in adult education principles and teaching methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using technology to support student learning and manage grades.
  • Self-motivated and independent worker who also thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and understanding of the Ontario community college system.
