Job Title: Part-Time Professor, Emergency Services Fundamentals

At Durham College, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a part-time professor in the Emergency Services Fundamentals program.

About the Role:
  • Teach in the Emergency Services Fundamentals program, focusing on APCO Public Safety Telecommunicator
  • Develop and deliver curriculum that uses current assessment methodologies and Universal Design for Learning
  • Work effectively with students, faculty, and stakeholders to create a positive learning environment
  • Utilize educational technologies to support learning and manage grades
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree with industry credentials, with a Master's degree an asset
  • Current APCO Public Safety Instructor (Canadian) Certification required
  • Minimum of five years of recent work experience in the field
  • Teaching experience at the post-secondary level with a demonstrated understanding of current assessment methodologies
  • Experience participating in industry-led or community-based applied research an asset
