Responsibilities



  • Create a positive learning environment that accommodates students' diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles;
  • Utilize principles of adult education to actively engage students in the learning process;
  • Effectively use educational technologies to support learning and manage grades;
  • Develop curriculum that uses appropriate strategies and tools to assess student learning;
  • Ensure that all course content is current and relevant;
  • Work independently and demonstrate initiative;
  • Work effectively with students, the program team, and various internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications



  • A minimum of five years of recent industry experience related to the topic being taught;
  • Holds a Master's degree (or higher) in Business or Education, or a Certified Human Resources Professional designation;
  • Possesses experience in Data Analytics, which would be considered an asset;
  • Teaching experience at the post-secondary level or within a business environment, with demonstrated application of adult educational principles and teaching/assessment methodologies;
  • Superior skills in verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • A track record in meeting deadlines;
  • Experienced in using technology to support student learning and manage grades;
  • A self-motivated and independent worker who also functions well in a team environment;
  • Committed to lifelong learning;
  • An understanding of the Ontario community college system.


Preferred Qualifications


Preference will be given to candidates with relevant educational credentials and a proven track record of relevant work/teaching experience. Both a cover letter and a resume must be provided to be considered for this position.



Estimated Salary Range


$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
