Position Summary

The Commercial Portfolio Management Specialist is responsible for credit structuring, underwriting, risk assessment, and client support for a diverse portfolio of clients with average loan amounts below $2MM, within a designated geographic area. This role collaborates with sales and support teams to deliver effective solutions by conducting economic analyses, developing industry profiles, and assessing the financial viability of loan candidates.

Key Responsibilities / What You'll Be Engaged In

Credit Underwriting. Risk Assessment. Client Engagement.

Credit Underwriting

In your capacity as a credit underwriter, you will collaborate with sales teams to ensure timely and effective credit evaluations for both new and existing clients. You will oversee risk management and maintain daily client relationships for medium to large commercial accounts.

Risk Assessment

Your expertise in risk management will be essential in implementing appropriate measures and protocols, ensuring a balance between risk and reward in alignment with CWB's risk appetite.

Client Engagement

You will serve as the primary contact for clients, handling daily operations, account management, and inquiries, ensuring an exceptional client experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess a diploma in Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience) along with a minimum of 2 years of direct experience in banking or business lending, specifically in commercial credit underwriting. Proficiency in financial statement analysis and a solid understanding of Moody's Financial Analyst is required.
