Position Summary
The Commercial Portfolio Management Specialist is responsible for credit structuring, underwriting, risk assessment, and client support for a diverse portfolio of clients with average loan amounts below $2MM, within a designated geographic area. This role collaborates with sales and support teams to offer effective solutions, assisting in the analysis and development of economic insights, industry assessments, and evaluations of the financial viability of loan candidates.
Key Responsibilities / What You'll Be Engaged InCredit Underwriting. Risk Assessment. Client Engagement.
Credit UnderwritingIn the capacity of a credit underwriter, you will collaborate with sales teams to ensure timely and effective credit evaluations for both new and existing clients. You will manage risks and maintain daily client relationships for medium to large commercial accounts.
Risk AssessmentYour expertise in risk management will be crucial in implementing appropriate measures and protocols to assess risks while balancing potential rewards in accordance with CWB's risk appetite.
Client EngagementYou will serve as the primary contact for clients, handling daily operations, account management, and inquiries, ensuring a superior client experience.
Ideal Candidate ProfileA diploma in Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in banking or business lending, including direct experience in commercial credit underwriting. Proficiency in financial statement analysis and a solid understanding of Moody's Financial Analyst are essential.
