Your Role at ARC'TERYX:

As a Senior Salesforce Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, deployment, analysis, and maintenance of software, tools, applications, and information systems that align with the business needs of the organization in a competitive global environment. In this capacity, you will play a key role in enhancing our Salesforce CRM platforms, exploring, and advancing other relevant application technologies, while also mentoring fellow developers, supporting initiatives, and contributing to the technological vision for Arc'teryx.

Collaborative Team Environment:

You will join a close-knit and cooperative team that collaborates with various departments across Arc'teryx. We prioritize learning and professional growth, aiming to deliver optimal solutions to teams utilizing our Salesforce applications and other systems.

The team is tasked with the development and upkeep of our CRM. It is structured into squads that include developers, Administrators, Quality Analysts, Business Analysts, and Project Managers. Salesforce Developers work in close collaboration with other teams such as Infrastructure, Guest Services, ReBIRD, Marketing, and Analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicating project and operational updates, challenges, risks, and resolutions within an agile development framework.
  • Providing mentorship to peers on the Salesforce development teams throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Creating solutions in Salesforce utilizing APEX, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Aura.
  • Offering expertise and guidance on declarative versus non-declarative (code) solutions.
  • Continuously evolving the DevOps strategy at Arc'teryx in line with industry trends and best practices.
  • Developing and managing integration endpoints to and from the Salesforce platform.
  • Handling large data volumes with data loader and establishing data mapping processes.
  • Assessing Salesforce technical debt and proposing and implementing solutions.
  • Leading proactive system maintenance and code monitoring, including security reviews, release updates, and code reviews of peers.
  • Contributing to Salesforce architecture, data models, security, and integration capabilities.
  • Providing documentation, training, consulting, and insights on Salesforce best practices, trends, and upcoming features to Arc'teryx teams.
  • Creating functional specifications and designs for future-focused complex applications or modifying existing complex applications.
  • Reviewing designs and code of team members, often in collaboration with colleagues and Architects.


Future Opportunities:
  • Focusing on the growth and development of scalable solutions within our Sales and Service cloud environments.
  • Championing code reuse, reducing technical debt, optimizing platforms, and ensuring quality across various applications.
  • Implementing and refining processes that validate compliance, security, and performance.
  • Developing custom or declarative components to connect our data through our expanding suite of Salesforce products, including Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud Personalization.
  • Providing technical guidance to support the rest of the team.


Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree or post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience on the Salesforce Platform delivering medium to large projects/programs using both customization and out-of-the-box configurative solutions.
  • Experience with Service, Sales, and Experience Cloud.
  • Completion of Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer 1, Platform Developer 2, and a minimum of two Architect Level certifications.
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce programmatic languages such as APEX, LWC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Aura.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce Applications with External Systems using REST, SOAP, and GraphQL APIs.
  • Ability to work with product managers and business analysts to assist in analyzing business requirements and evaluating solution alternatives on the Salesforce platform.
  • A solid understanding of Salesforce's evolution (e.g., Classic, Workflows) and future direction (e.g., Einstein AI, Omnistudio) to diagnose issues stemming from legacy platform architecture.
  • A proactive approach to platform enhancements.
  • Ability to create robust test scripts and thoroughly validate solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and capability to create and adhere to documentation.
  • Demonstrated success in an Agile methodology, familiar with tools like Jira and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to plan and meet deadlines.

Salary: $91,000 - $114,000 a year

This salary range reflects the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits.
