About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Specialist to join our team at KASTURI INDIAN HAKKA CHINESE CUISINE. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our dishes, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and manage food costs, inventory, and supplies
  • Develop and implement new recipes and cooking techniques
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and sous chefs
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty dishes for events and special occasions
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of East Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
