Mid-Level Associate - Banking & Corporate

Our Ottawa banking and corporate team is distinguished for its extensive expertise in a wide array of regional, national, and international banking and finance issues, as well as corporate transactions across diverse industries. We are strategically positioned to deliver insightful, business-focused legal counsel on complex banking, finance, and corporate matters, including project financing, acquisition financing, secured lending, capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private placements, venture capital dealings, and comprehensive corporate advisory services.

We are currently looking to enhance our team by bringing on board an associate with substantial experience in banking, project finance, and secured lending. Familiarity with advising on mergers and acquisitions (both private and public), securities, and corporate/debt financing, along with general corporate and commercial transactions, would be advantageous. This role offers a remarkable opportunity to collaborate with a prestigious group of professionals at a well-established Canadian law firm with a global legal practice, all within a supportive and collegial environment that is both professionally fulfilling and personally rewarding.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree and will possess:

  • a minimum of years of relevant experience in either a private practice or in-house environment;
  • outstanding client service, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with strong organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the confidence to take initiative;
  • demonstrated business insight and a robust commercial perspective;
  • high personal and professional integrity, coupled with a diligent and passionate work ethic.

While not mandatory, proficiency in both English and French is considered an asset.
