Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our Business Development Management team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and project portfolio in Canada, while positioning the company for success in the mobility sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business development goals in target market segments
  • Contribute to the growth of SENER in Canada through business development, key pursuit, and sales strategy
  • Lead and conduct business development efforts, including market research, client relationships, teaming process, bid development, and contract negotiation
  • Monitor and maintain the opportunity pipeline to optimize business development plans
  • Establish and maintain a strong local marketplace reputation through established relationships and leadership support
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience in business development at the Director or Senior Manager level
  • Deep knowledge of the local business market from a technical and business standpoint
  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining client relationships in the Canadian rail/civil engineering market
  • Business analytical skills and knowledge of advanced negotiating approaches and tactics
  • Ability to report data and analyze data for relevant trends
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to speak Spanish is an asset but not mandatory
  • Engineering background in Civil or Rail Engineering is an asset
