About the Role

Certispec Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team. As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Laboratory Apparatus: You will be responsible for operating various laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and other analytical instruments.
  • Assist in Set Up and Conduct Chemical Experiments: You will assist in the preparation and execution of chemical experiments, including the setup of equipment and the collection of data.
  • Compile Records for Analytical Studies: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed records of analytical studies, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Assist in Developing Programs of Sampling and Analysis: You will assist in the development of programs for sampling and analysis, including the design of sampling protocols and the selection of analytical methods.
  • Assist in Design and Fabrication of Experimental Apparatus: You will assist in the design and fabrication of experimental apparatus, including the selection of materials and the development of prototypes.
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: You will provide support for persons with disabilities, including mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: You will support newcomers and refugees, including foreign credential recognition, mentorship programs, and diversity and cross-cultural training.
  • Support for Youths: You will provide support for youths, including awareness training and a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Indigenous People: You will develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, and provide cultural competency training and awareness training.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: You will provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
  • Work Term: This is a permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
