Bilingual Collections Specialist

Role Responsibilities: The Bilingual Collections Specialist is tasked with meeting Accounts Receivable (AR) objectives as outlined by the Assistant Manager, Collections or Payments. This role requires a deep understanding of the order-to-cash process within the industry.
The incumbent will:
- Execute collections and payment processing tasks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving AR-related issues for a designated portfolio of customer accounts.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Marketing, Sales, and Operations, while engaging in multiple functions within the Accounting team.
Customer Engagement: Deliver exceptional customer service by partnering with clients to address concerns and navigate challenges related to late or missed payments.
Dispute Resolution: Provide initial support to resolve customer disputes and facilitate the processing of invoices and payments.
Communication: Manage frequent interactions through calls and correspondence within the Accounting department.
Work Environment: Standard office conditions with a regular work schedule from Monday to Friday.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable and collections.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Adhere to safety protocols, information security guidelines, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
- Utilize feedback and coaching to enhance performance.
- Employ analytical skills to make recommendations that drive sustainable results.
- Monitor metrics to achieve ambitious goals and hold oneself and others accountable for performance standards.
- Fluently bilingual in both written and spoken English and French.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Business Objects).
- Familiarity with Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) is an asset.
Training Program: The Bilingual Collections Specialist will participate in a structured 7-week classroom training program, gaining insights into the company's operations, invoicing, and collection processes, as well as the systems that support accounts receivable activities. This training combines theoretical learning with practical examples.
Upon successful completion of the classroom training, a 5-week on-the-job training will follow, guided by experienced team representatives.
