Bilingual Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Bilingual Accounts Receivable Collections Agent to join our finance department in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the primary responsibility for this role is to make phone calls to collect payments from customers and ensure proper documentation is provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Provides timely and accurate collection and posting of customer payments
- Contacts customers on overdue accounts and resolves outstanding issues delaying payment in a timely manner
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on calls and interactions with customers
- Provides all required documentation to customers for proof of sales and delivery
- Maintains credit hold lists and communicate to branch managers
- Provides updates on customer data in system (Contact information such as email, phone number, etc.)
- Provides follow ups on payment dates
- Provides professional customer service to both internal and external customers
- Provides feedback and updates to Accounts Receivables Department as needed
Required Knowledge and Training
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary Accounting Certificate/Diploma considered an asset
- Excellent data entry skills
- Basic Accounting knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with ERP's and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
