Therapeutic Area Director, Oncology Medical Affairs

Astellas Pharma Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Affairs professional to lead our Oncology Therapeutic Area team. As a key member of our Medical Affairs Leadership Team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the successful execution of Medical Affairs activities and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive Medical Affairs strategic plan for the Oncology Therapeutic Area, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Provide medical and scientific expertise to support new product development efforts and the success of locally marketed products.
- Lead and coordinate training of APCA personnel on medical and scientific information related to Astellas products within the assigned Therapeutic Area.
- Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, key external experts, and allied health professionals to ensure medical and scientific understanding and advocacy around Astellas medicines.
- Embed a culture of compliance and ethics across all regions of the business, ensuring integrity in action and adherence to Astellas policies relating to ethics and compliance standards.
- Proven experience in Medical Affairs leadership, with a strong track record of success in developing and implementing strategic plans.
- Excellent medical and scientific expertise, with the ability to provide strategic guidance and direction to cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, key external experts, and allied health professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on results and delivery.
