Astellas Pharma Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Affairs professional to lead our Oncology Therapeutic Area team. As a key member of our Medical Affairs Leadership Team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the successful execution of Medical Affairs activities and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive Medical Affairs strategic plan for the Oncology Therapeutic Area, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Provide medical and scientific expertise to support new product development efforts and commercial success of locally marketed products.
- Lead and coordinate training of APCA personnel on medical and scientific information related to Astellas products within the assigned Therapeutic Area.
- Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, key external experts, and allied health professionals to ensure medical and scientific understanding and advocacy around Astellas medicines.
- Embed a culture of compliance and ethics across all regions of the business, ensuring integrity in action and adherence to Astellas policies and standards.
- Graduate degree in life sciences (Ph.D., Pharm.D., or M.D.).
- Minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Medical Affairs, clinical research, or project management.
- Strong familiarity with biostatistical and health economics and outcomes research principles.
- Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of local and international regulations, Innovative Medicines Code of Ethical Practices, and Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
