Your Responsibilities:

  • Present and clarify financial options to clients
  • Engage directly with lenders and financial institutions
  • Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for final transactions
  • Achieve and surpass sales targets by promoting extended products, including protection packages, warranties, and insurance options
  • Uphold professional ethics and treat customers with respect
  • Stay informed about provincial finance regulations and fair credit reporting practices
  • Collaborate with relevant departments
  • Structure deals in compliance with lender and dealership standards
  • Accurately finalize deals
  • Ensure truthful representation of products
  • Conduct credit interviews and prepare credit applications
  • Verify the accuracy of information on credit applications and submit to lenders
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer data
  • Market credit insurance and service contracts
  • Foster positive relationships with lenders
  • Keep an updated lender guide of current programs and develop a thorough understanding of them
  • Analyze credit reports and identify conventional deals
  • Maintain records for inactive deals
  • Address and resolve customer objections

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in finance and insurance within a dealership setting
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales or a related customer service role
  • Strong understanding of sales, finance, and management principles
  • Established relationships with financial institutions
  • Proven track record of meeting performance goals
  • Exceptional oral, written, and listening communication skills
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Capability to identify performance metrics and necessary actions for improvement
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and email software
  • Ability to interpret and calculate financial figures, including discounts and interest rates
  • Effective prioritization skills to manage time and achieve business objectives
  • A valid OMVIC license is required for this position
