Registered Clinical Nutritionist

Position Overview
The role entails delivering and advocating for optimal nutritional care to clients in alignment with professional Standards of Practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Client Care: Providing personalized nutritional guidance and support.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring high standards in nutritional services.
- Professional Development: Engaging in continuous learning and skill enhancement.
- Research: Contributing to the advancement of nutritional science.
- Safety: Upholding safety protocols in all aspects of care.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of two years of clinical nutrition experience is preferred.
Educational Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Nutritional Sciences, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited Canadian university or an equivalent international program.
- Completion of a recognized dietetic internship program accredited by the Partnership for Dietetic Education and Practice (PDEP) or a planned practicum as specified by the College of Dietitians of Manitoba.
Licensure and Certification
- Must hold registration as a Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba.
- Membership with Dietitians of Canada (DC) is recommended.
- Compliance with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements as per organizational policy.
Skills and Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapies.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with diverse personnel within an interdisciplinary framework.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability to changing environments and initiatives.
- Demonstrated planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Capability to apply evidence-based guidelines and professional standards to meet the evolving needs of clients.
- Understanding of human behavior and the process of behavior change.
- Competence in counseling and motivating individuals and groups.
- General knowledge of food and nutrient analysis.
- Proficiency in a computerized work environment.
- Adherence to professional standards and ethical guidelines as outlined by the College of Dietitians of Manitoba.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
- Capacity to work under pressure and within time constraints.
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, and other environmental hazards.
- Willingness to travel for meetings as required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
