Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated professional to assume the role of Site Superintendent. This position will involve overseeing all facets of the construction process for a significant development project. Your primary focus will be on the construction of a 5-story woodframe building, which includes commercial space and an underground parking facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the construction operations of the project.
  • Develop detailed construction timelines, monitor progress, and provide regular updates.
  • Adapt construction strategies and resources as necessary to address scheduling challenges.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify risks and leverage opportunities.
  • Engage in the tendering process and participate in bid evaluations.
  • Ensure that site operations are equipped with the necessary resources for optimal efficiency.
  • Deliver project scope while exceeding quality and design expectations.
  • Maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.
  • Make independent decisions that enhance project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and legislative standards.
  • Oversee subcontractors and manage various scopes of work.
  • Supervise self-performed work to meet project specifications.
  • Guide and motivate team members and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
  • Handle claims and changes as required.
  • Manage monthly billing and quantity claims as necessary.
  • Assist with additional management tasks, including project oversight and financial analysis.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in managing multi-family woodframe projects.
  • Proven ability to recruit and lead a project team.
  • Strong connections within the trades and construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and building codes.
  • Familiarity with construction terminology, scheduling, and contract management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office for reporting and communication purposes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to inspire and lead teams to meet project objectives.
  • Capability to perform under pressure and make confident decisions.
  • Integrity and professionalism in all dealings.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • A degree or diploma in construction management or a related field is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in cost control and contract management.
  • A proactive team player committed to achieving the company's strategic goals.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $130,000 and $150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
