Additionally, regular inspections of construction sites will be conducted to guarantee adherence to safety regulations.
Challenges

- Fast-paced setting with evolving priorities; safety may not always be the foremost concern for some workers.
- Assess and monitor health and safety risks and devise strategies to mitigate them.
- Examine equipment and machinery to identify and avert potential unsafe conditions.
- Evaluate worksites to ensure that equipment, materials, and processes do not pose safety or health risks to employees, subcontractors, or the public.
- Design, implement, and assess health and safety plans in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Uphold safety policies and contribute to cultivating a culture of health and safety.
- Lead all necessary health and safety meetings.
- Assess the effectiveness of safety programs and implement necessary modifications.
- Facilitate training sessions and presentations focused on health and safety and accident prevention.
- Provide essential training and orientation for new hires regarding safe work practices.
- Compile regular and ad-hoc reports on health and safety incidents and statistics.
- Investigate health and safety complaints and prepare incident documentation.
- Maintain ongoing communication with relevant authorities regarding all safety requirements.
- At least 5 years of experience in the construction sector, specifically with 4 to 6 story wood frame multi-family projects.
- OFA Level 2 certification or higher.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and regulations relevant to the specific trade or activity being overseen.
- CRSP or CSSE certification.
- Post-secondary education in workplace health and safety.
- Previous experience collaborating with subcontractors and vendors to meet stringent deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and adapt to changing schedules.
