You will be tasked with educating and enhancing safety awareness among all personnel and trades. Additionally, you will conduct regular inspections of construction sites to guarantee adherence to safety regulations.

- Fast-paced setting with evolving priorities; safety may not always be the primary focus for some workers.
Risk Assessment and Management
- Assess and monitor health and safety risks and devise strategies to mitigate them.
- Examine equipment and machinery to identify and avert potential unsafe conditions.
- Inspect job sites to ensure that equipment, materials, and production processes do not pose safety or health risks to employees, subcontractors, or the public.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate health and safety plans in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Enforce safety policies and contribute to cultivating a culture of health and safety.
- Lead all necessary health and safety meetings.
- Assess the effectiveness of safety programs and implement necessary modifications.
- Conduct training sessions and presentations on health and safety issues and accident prevention.
- Provide essential training and orientation to new hires regarding safe work practices.
- Prepare regular and on-demand reports concerning health and safety incidents/issues and statistics.
- Investigate health and safety-related complaints and compile incident reports.
- Maintain ongoing communication with relevant authorities regarding all safety requirements.
- At least 5 years of experience in the construction sector, specifically with 4 to 6 story wood frame multi-family projects.
- OFA Level 2 certification or higher.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and regulations relevant to the specific trade or activity being overseen.
- CRSP or CSSE designation.
- Post-secondary education in workplace health and safety.
- Previous experience collaborating with subcontractors and vendors to meet stringent deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and adapt to changing schedules.
