About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced chef to join our team at MJ BYRNES IRISH PUB INC. as an Executive Chef. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the culinary team in the preparation and presentation of menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and specials, working closely with the kitchen team to ensure successful execution.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies and equipment as needed, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to ensure seamless service and high customer satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in the role.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a chef or in a related culinary role.
  • College or CEGEP education in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment, with frequent standing and walking.
