About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Aramark Canada. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Train and develop a team of culinary professionals to ensure exceptional service and quality food
    • Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Culinary Excellence
    • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food to ensure optimal inventory levels
    • Select and develop recipes to ensure consistent quality and presentation
    • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards to ensure exceptional customer experiences
  • Operations and Safety
    • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure food safety
    • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction and demonstrations as needed
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
