Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriter to join our team at Definity. As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective underwriting of commercial lines insurance policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate risks to ensure accurate and timely underwriting decisions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and other stakeholders to achieve business growth and revenue targets
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement effective risk management strategies
  • Provide exceptional customer service to brokers and other stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • Insurance knowledge with a strong understanding of commercial lines underwriting principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex risks and make informed decisions
  • Experience with sales and business development, with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets
