We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Underwriting Manager to join our team at Sun Life Financial Inc. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of underwriting principles, risk management, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of underwriters and underwriting assistants to ensure the quote, renewal, and financial underwriting of SunSolutions accounts business aligns with company targets and underwriting policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance, productivity, and quality targets.
- Provide guidance and coaching to team members on underwriting and risk analysis principles and techniques.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners, including Account Executives, Business Development Directors, and Group Benefit market players, to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of group underwriting experience or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including flexibility and creativity in managing risk.
