About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at MCJFC FOOD ENTERPRISES LTD. as a key member of our food service operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring seamless food preparation and service delivery.

Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

Oversee and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Train and Develop Staff

Provide comprehensive training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence.

Inventory Management and Quality Control

Estimate and manage ingredient and supply requirements, ensuring accurate inventory levels and maintaining quality control standards.

Customer Service and Feedback

Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Reporting and Record-Keeping

Prepare and submit accurate reports, maintaining detailed records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Work Schedule Management

Establish and manage work schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing downtime.

Supervision and Support
  • Supervise a Team of 1-2 Staff Members
  • Support for Diverse Groups
    • Support for Persons with Disabilities

Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities to support persons with disabilities.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees

Provide support with foreign credential recognition and integration into the workplace.

Support for Youths

Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, promoting skill development and career growth.

Support for Veterans

Assist with transition needs, including relocation and housing support.

Support for Indigenous People

Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations.

Support for Mature Workers

Provide awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.

Support for Visible Minorities

Apply hiring policies that promote diversity and inclusion, discouraging discrimination against visible minorities.
