Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and kitchen staff.

  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that food meets quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Monitor inventory levels and requisition food and kitchen supplies as necessary.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that customers receive prompt and friendly service.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates for food and labor costs.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and walk frequently.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions

The Shift Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to noise and heat. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a high-pressure situation is essential.
