About the Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar plays a critical role in supporting the university's mission and academic plan. We provide a range of services to students, faculty, and staff, including student records, course enrollment, and academic continuance.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Manager, Registrarial Support Services to lead the day-to-day activities of the Registrarial Support Services unit. This role will coordinate and manage critical academic processes, provide advice and guidance to students, faculty, and staff, and ensure the integrity and security of all admissions data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the Registrarial Support Services unit to deliver campus-wide exemplary services and support to faculty, staff, and the greater TMU community.
  • Coordinate and manage critical academic processes, including student records, course enrollment, and academic continuance.
  • Provide advice and guidance to students, faculty, and staff on a range of academic and administrative matters.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of all admissions data.
  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to support the university's mission and academic plan.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a post-secondary university degree in Administration, IT, Communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a post-secondary/higher education environment.
  • Experience with the delivery of high-quality client service, specifically in a higher education environment.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and coach staff.
  • Outstanding time management skills and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate a large volume of complex work with competing priorities.
  • Strong communication, excellent listening, and presentation/public speaking skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, personalities, and needs.
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience and flexibility in the workplace.
  • Analytical skill in research compilation of statistical data and interpretation of the data to implement policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of integrated systems, designing business processes, configuration, and testing functional processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Ontario, Canadian, and International post-secondary systems, policies, and practices, with specific attention to student record matters.
