Aquatics Program Manager

The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatics Program Manager to join our team. As a key member of our aquatics team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our aquatic programs, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Direction: Provide guidance and oversight to our aquatic programs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Program Development: Develop and implement new aquatic programs and services, including swim lessons, water aerobics, and other aquatic activities.
- Staff Management: Supervise and mentor our aquatics staff, providing coaching and support to ensure they are equipped to deliver exceptional service.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our members and guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with our members, guests, and staff, ensuring that everyone is informed and engaged.
- Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our aquatic facilities, ensuring they are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Education: Possession of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
- Certifications: National Lifeguard certification (NL) in good standing, YMCA Swim Instructor Certification, and/or Lifesaving Society Instructor and examiner preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a aquatic or recreation setting.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
