Job Summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other bodily fluids from patients for laboratory testing. This is a critical role in the healthcare system, and we are looking for a professional who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood and other bodily fluids from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
  • Label and process specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Verify patient information and test orders in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Follow Universal Precautions and OSHA safety regulations to prevent biohazard contamination.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
  • Perform EKG and Spirometry tests as needed.
  • Process and track test results in EHR.
  • Restock reagents and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduation from an accredited phlebotomy training program required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a hospital or clinic setting desired.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Russian, or Chuukese preferred but not required.
