Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team at LifeLabs. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Interaction: Greet and interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout the specimen collection process.
- Specimen Collection: Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing, adhering to established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Phlebotomy: Perform phlebotomy procedures, including blood draws and other related tasks, with precision and care to minimize patient discomfort.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient information, specimen collection data, and other relevant details in a timely and efficient manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with laboratory staff, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Education: Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent related experience.
- Skills: Proficient data entry skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience: Previous experience in phlebotomy, intravenous infusion, and/or intravenous therapy is an asset.
- Competitive Compensation: A competitive salary range of $25.27 - $30.05 per hour.
