This is a critical role in the healthcare system, and we are looking for a professional who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood and other bodily fluids from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
- Label and process specimens for laboratory testing.
- Verify patient information and test orders in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Follow Universal Precautions and OSHA safety regulations to prevent biohazard contamination.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Restock reagents and supplies, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with EKG and Spirometry testing as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduation from an accredited phlebotomy training program required.
- Minimum of one year experience in a hospital or clinic setting desired.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Bilingual in Spanish, Russian, or Chuukese preferred, but not required.
