Full Time Hospital Security Officer - On Call Rotation

We are in search of approachable and self-assured Security Professionals to serve at various healthcare establishments. This encompasses hospitals, private clinics, long-term care centers, and more. Our management team collaborates with employees to identify positions and work environments that align with their personal lifestyles.

This role operates on a 4 on, 4 off schedule, alternating between day and night shifts (2 nights and 2 days).

On Call Security Officers receive a guaranteed base pay during all on-call hours. This rate increases to the site-specific pay when called in for shifts, which occurs nearly every day. Employees may need to travel over 50km one-way from their designated base location, with travel expenses covered.

Working in Healthcare Security can be both physically and emotionally challenging. Security Professionals are tasked with delivering support, empathy, customer service, and public safety to healthcare staff, visitors, clients, and patients alike. The dynamic settings our Security Professionals operate in can be both rewarding and stimulating, yet also demanding. Our top-tier Healthcare managers provide round-the-clock support for our staff, focusing on proactively reducing risks and addressing incidents with immediate guidance.

A typical day for a Healthcare Security Officer includes:

While your specific responsibilities may vary by location, you can anticipate engaging in the following activities:
  • Managing access control in and out of the facility, including restricted areas.
  • Monitoring and responding to incidents detected on the premises, including through surveillance.
  • Conducting patrols throughout the facility, checking for potential risks such as unsecured doors, obstructed exits, mechanical failures, hazardous materials, and general security vulnerabilities.
  • Responding to alarms and emergency assistance requests.
  • Investigating and documenting any irregularities encountered during your duties.
  • Ensuring patient safety by recording and reporting incidents as necessary.

  • You hold a valid AB Security license or are willing to obtain one prior to starting with Paladin Security.
