About the Role

Paladin Security is seeking a skilled and compassionate Security Professional to join our Healthcare Division. As a Healthcare Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors in various healthcare facilities across Calgary and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide access control and monitor restricted areas to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies, including alarm activations and patient safety concerns.
  • Conduct regular patrols to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Investigate and report any irregularities or incidents that occur during your duties.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and visitors.

Requirements

  • Valid AB Security license or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm under pressure.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties, including walking up to 20km/shift and lifting 30-pound doors.
  • Availability to work day and night shifts, including 4 on, 4 off rotations.
