Job Title: Developmental Service Worker

Momentum Developmental Support Corporation is seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team. As a Developmental Service Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in developing and maintaining daily living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and time management.
  • Support individuals with developmental disabilities in accessing community resources and services, such as healthcare, education, and recreational activities.
  • Collaborate with other support workers and professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Provide emotional support and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities an asset.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
Work Environment:

As a Developmental Service Worker, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, and may be required to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). You will work in a team environment, collaborating with other support workers and professionals to provide high-quality support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
