Position Overview: Human Resources Business Partner
Location: Calgary Office, Onsite/Hybrid
Type: Temporary (12 Month Contract)
Reports To: Director, Human Resources

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) role is a temporary position designed to cover a maternity leave. This opportunity allows you to join a dedicated Human Resources Team and enhance your HRBP expertise. Our guiding principles emphasize collaboration and exceeding expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and support HR initiatives that promote growth and organizational effectiveness aligned with business strategies, including talent acquisition, management, compensation, learning, and performance evaluation.
  2. Oversee the complete recruitment process, collaborating with leaders to identify staffing needs within client groups.
  3. Advise and assist leaders in addressing employee relations challenges through constructive feedback, development, coaching, and problem resolution.
  4. Provide insights regarding compliance with government regulations, requiring up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and human rights.
  5. Contribute to the ongoing development of HR programs, including best practices in recruitment, retention, compensation, and employee development.
  6. Work with leaders to create and implement effective HR policies and practices that support strategic business growth.
  7. Collaborate with learning and development teams to enhance training, career mobility, and job performance initiatives.
  8. Analyze Engagement Survey results with leaders to identify key focus areas for departmental improvement plans.
  9. Proactively evaluate data and trends to uncover opportunities for operational enhancements.
  10. Promote a culture of excellence where employees feel engaged and motivated to achieve outstanding business results.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources department, with at least 3 years in an HRBP capacity.
  3. CPHR or CPHR Candidate designation is preferred.
  4. Proven experience across various HR functions, particularly in talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development.
  5. Familiarity with digital tools and software, such as Dayforce HCM.
