Position Overview:

Gryaab AB is looking for an Architectural Studio Leader within the Architecture and Urbanism division, specifically in the Government and Civic sector. This position will report to the Practice Group Manager and can be based in any of our offices.

As the Architectural Studio Leader, you will oversee the studio's operations, ensuring alignment with the Global Architecture & Urbanism Division's strategy and financial objectives, while focusing on operational effectiveness and workforce optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement the GAU Division strategy:

  • Oversee the studio with responsibility for client solutions, resource utilization, project execution, quality assurance, and profitability. Conduct regular team meetings.
  • Manage the studio's budget and monitor project teams' performance against the approved business plan; initiate corrective measures as necessary to meet profitability, billing, and collection targets.
  • Develop annual revenue targets, capacity budgets, and business plans in collaboration with the Business Unit Director and Practice Group Managers.
  • Lead local marketing initiatives, review all proposals and contracts to ensure alignment with the approved business plan while adhering to Gryaab AB's professional standards and policies.
  • Capable of managing large, complex full-service projects with a focus on long-term solutions and maintaining client relationships.

Foster strong relationships and build effective teams:

  • Guide and mentor studio members to achieve high performance, growth, and personal development.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide recommendations on recruitment, hiring, disciplinary actions, and staff reductions in consultation with senior colleagues.
  • Support the growth objectives of the Country Practice Group:
  • Develop and implement innovative and effective project solutions in partnership with the Growth team.
  • Encourage collaboration across studios.
  • Mentor and develop future leaders within the team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced qualification in a relevant professional field.
  • Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, Certified Construction Management Professional, or equivalent status preferred.
  • Extensive expertise in a key service line and sector.
  • Significant experience (18 years or more) in a relevant discipline, including over 10 years in Engineering/Science/Infrastructure consultancy.
  • Proven experience in leading and implementing complex business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience managing business relationships at the executive level.
  • Experience leading teams across different geographical locations.
  • Substantial experience with large-scale, highly complex projects.
