Position Overview:
Arcadis is on the lookout for several Creative Studio Leaders within the Architecture and Urbanism division of the Global Business Area Places, specifically focusing on the Government and Civic sector. The Creative Studio Leader will report to the Practice Group Manager and will be based in any Arcadis office within the designated region.
In this capacity, the Creative Studio Leader will oversee the effective management of the studio, ensuring alignment with the Global Architecture & Urbanism Division's strategic goals and financial objectives, while emphasizing operational efficiency and workforce optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement the GAU Division strategy:
- Direct the studio with accountability for client solutions, resource utilization, project execution, quality assurance, and profitability. Conduct regular team meetings.
- Oversee the studio budget and monitor project team performance against the approved business plan; initiate corrective measures as necessary to meet profitability, billing, and collection targets.
- Establish annual revenue goals, capacity budgets, and business plans in collaboration with the Business Unit Director and Practice Group Managers.
- Lead local marketing initiatives, review all proposals and contracts to ensure alignment with the approved business strategy while adhering to Arcadis' professional standards and policies.
- Proficient in managing large-scale, complex projects with a focus on long-term solutions and maintaining ongoing client relationships.
Foster strong relationships and build successful teams:
- Mentor and develop studio members to achieve high performance, growth, and personal development.
- Collaborate with various operational teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide recommendations regarding recruitment, hiring, disciplinary actions, and staff reductions in consultation with senior colleagues.
- Support the growth objectives of the Country Practice Group:
- Develop, implement, and execute innovative and effective project solutions in collaboration with the Growth team.
- Encourage cross-studio collaboration.
- Mentor and coach team members and future leaders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a relevant field.
- Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, Certified Construction Management Professional, or equivalent preferred.
- Extensive expertise in a key service line and sector.
- Significant experience (18 years or more) in a relevant discipline, including over 10 years in Engineering/Science/Infrastructure consultancy.
- Proven experience in leading and implementing complex business transformation solutions.
- Experience managing executive-level business relationships.
- Experience leading teams across different regions.
- Considerable experience with large-scale, highly complex projects.
