About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health Information Processing Section Head to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the Health Information Processing section and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the section, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Supervise and train staff, developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure quality results.
  • Monitor staffing levels and workload patterns, ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained.
  • Act as a technical and clinical resource to staff, responding to queries and recommending best practices.
  • Provide budgetary input and monitor operating expenditures, demonstrating fiscal accountability.
  • Participate in safety programs and promote safe work practices.
  • Develop and foster effective relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
  • Provide input to the Professional Practice Leader on departmental planning and decision-making.

Requirements
