Key Responsibilities:

Life Skills Workers are essential in the continuum of care. They engage in planning, observing, monitoring, and documenting clients' progress and interaction with services and support.

They assist clients with daily activities and aim to model and promote suitable behaviors related to problem-solving and decision-making.

Life Skills Workers provide structured assistance to help develop and maintain skills in areas such as:
  • Time management;
  • Financial management, budgeting, accessing funds, and other forms of assistance;
  • Organizational and interpersonal communication;
  • Personal hygiene;
  • Management of household tasks;
  • Meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, and
  • Community engagement.
Working collaboratively within an integrated team, this role focuses on delivering structured support services to clients.

They monitor clients in alignment with treatment goals and care plans, observe behaviors and symptoms, and document observations according to established protocols or provide verbal updates on changes in clients' health.

They assist clients in cultivating and sustaining life skills, demonstrate and encourage appropriate behaviors, support decision-making and problem-solving, aid with daily tasks, engage in skill-building activities, and collaborate with mental health, substance use staff, medical professionals, and other service providers.


Scheduling Information:

This position entails shifts during the day, evenings, and nights with varying hours from 07:00 to 18:00, 09:00 to 19:10, and 19:00 to 07:00.

This is a flexible opportunity, meaning there are no guaranteed hours, and the workload may fluctuate weekly. Many successful careers with us begin with flexible roles and progress to permanent or temporary positions.
