Health Information Processing Section Head

Interior Health Authority is seeking an experienced Health Information Processing Section Head to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the Health Information Processing section and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Health Information Processing section, ensuring alignment with Interior Health's vision and values.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the section, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and provide training to staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for the section, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality services, monitoring and reporting on performance metrics and making recommendations for improvement.
- Communication: Foster effective relationships with colleagues, peers, and external agencies, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with new approaches to care and service delivery, advocating for changes that benefit patient care and service delivery.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as health information management or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role in health information services.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to provide strategic direction and oversight. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster effective relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
