Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the section, ensuring optimal efficiency and quality outcomes by supervising staff and students, developing and implementing policies, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Monitor staffing levels and workloads, maintaining adequate staffing through effective scheduling and vacation management, while also mentoring staff for future growth.
  • Serve as a technical resource, addressing inquiries and ensuring adherence to established clinical standards and best practices.
  • Provide budgetary insights, track operating expenses, and recommend improvements for capital equipment and service delivery.
  • Ensure maintenance programs for departmental equipment are conducted regularly and manage inventory of supplies.
  • Participate in safety initiatives, promoting safe work practices and reporting any unsafe conditions.
  • Optimize service delivery in compliance with current legislation and organizational policies.
  • Advise clinical and medical leaders on section services and contribute to departmental planning and decision-making.
  • Compile and present organizational statistics and reports as required.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and external agencies to enhance professional practice.
  • Lead strategic planning efforts, developing goals, objectives, and standards for the section.
  • Stay informed on advancements in care and service delivery, advocating for beneficial changes.
  • Represent the section in various internal and external committees as necessary.
  • Perform technical duties and other related responsibilities as assigned.
