Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is a key role at Fantasyland Hotel, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations and ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and safe for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of funds and materials.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the maintenance team and ensure the smooth operation of Fantasyland Hotel.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience in a maintenance or supervisory role in a hotel or similar environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • WHMIS certification or willingness to attend required training.
  • Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.
Terms of Employment:
  • This is a full-time position that requires a shift schedule including mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs.
  • This is a salaried position that will depend on experience and qualifications.
  • Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
