About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Supervisor to join our team at Avon Building Maintenance Ltd. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of maintenance personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive grounds maintenance plans, including landscaping, hardscaping, and other related tasks.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct thorough assessments of maintenance needs, estimating labour and material requirements to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Organize and Direct Construction Projects: Oversee the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately record and maintain all maintenance-related activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, repaired, or replaced as needed, minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure necessary materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing disruptions to operations.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Analyze and resolve maintenance-related issues, providing expert advice and recommendations to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement effective work schedules and procedures, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing downtime.
