Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Commissionaires Nova Scotia. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent potential security threats.
  • Operate security control room equipment to monitor and respond to security incidents.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Produce reports on security incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Check age identification of patrons and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Perform security checks of passengers and luggage to ensure the safety of our clients and employees.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, employees, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties in a physically demanding environment.
  • Reliability and punctuality to ensure consistent performance and attendance.
