Compassionate Registered Nurse for Long-Term Care

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you play a vital role in enhancing the lives of residents every day.

The RN will be instrumental in promoting effective management and maintaining the quality of nursing practices in accordance with the standards set by regulatory bodies and internal policies.
Your responsibilities will include:- Providing resident care in alignment with established nursing standards, physician directives, and administrative guidelines.
- Assisting in the evaluation and monitoring of residents while collaborating to create, implement, review, and assess resident care plans.
- Overseeing and assessing the performance of nursing and personal care staff assigned to the unit, including conducting orientations and other supervisory responsibilities.
- Monitoring staff performance, conducting evaluations, and addressing issues with the Director of Care.
- Offering guidance to the nursing department in the absence of the Director of Care.
- A valid certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- A genuine passion for caring for seniors and a commitment to service.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Relevant experience in long-term care, with a solid understanding of the responsibilities involved.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with excellent comprehension abilities.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on the overall perspective.
